Greg Grunberg and Jennifer Love Hewitt?!

Have a to-do list? Put Love Bites on it as a show you must watch next fall. Love Bites is a new NBC comedy slated for Thursdays at 10/9C. It’s being called a show about “modern romance” and I think it will be in the same vein of Sex and the City (the series). “Irreverent and poignant, Love Bites pulls back the curtain to expose modern romance – in a way you’ve never seen before.” Many have tried (Lipstick Jungle, Eastwick, Cashmere Mafia) but they took the formula of “four different women who are stylish and sexy” too bluntly and those series were all canceled without much heartbreak from fans.

I watched the Love Bites full trailer (posting it below) and it looks like it really does stand a chance. With writer Cindy Chupack (SATC) on board, guest stars like Jennifer Love Hewitt and Charlyne Yi (Paper Heart), and a cast that includes Becki Newton (Ugly Betty), Jordana Spiro (My Boys), and Greg Grunberg (guess there’s one good thing about Heroes being canceled – he’s been promoted to a series regular now)  I’m really rooting for the series to gain momentum and be popular as soon as it premieres.
