Gossip Girl Season 4 DVD Extras Reveal Blake Lively and Leighton Meester Often Hug it Out
| August 18, 2011 at 6:12 AM EDTLeighton Meester – there, I’ve already gotten your attention! To prepared for Gossip Girl season 5 then you owe it to yourself to check up on what Meester and her castmates (Blake Lively, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick, Taylor Momsen, Kelly Rutherford, Matthew Settle and Jessica Szohr) did for Gossip Girl season 4 that you didn’t get a chance to see. There’s an entire hour of footage on the DVD that you haven’t seen yet.
Gossip Girl season 4 started us off last summer in Paris, France. Remember the fashion? (Blair’s Red Dress, hello!) Chuck had a new girlfriend in Eva (who turned out to be an ex-prostitute, but whatevs), Dan thought he had been abandoned with his new son, and we had Dair (Dan/Blair) for a few blissful episodes when Dan and Blair realized they loved the same movies and worked together at W magazine. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Chuck almost loss Bass industries, Nate got a new girlfriend, Blair was almost shot to death, and Serena befriended one of her (fake) relatives!
The “LOL” gag reel shows Ed Westwick switching into the wrong accent, Blake Lively making up different storylines, Leighton Meester and Lively hugging it out a bunch, Michelle Trachtenberg’s behind-the-scenes frustration with baby Milo, Chace Crawford being a mime, Penn Badgley pretending to be a leprechaun, Connor Paolo being a low key but hilarious dude, Lively dealing with the hair/lipgloss problem so many of us suffer from, Meesters reaction to kissing Badgley, Lively trying to smuggle money in her cleavage and the fact that not even this super talented cast always dances perfectly.
