I’m not sure how happy Gossip Girl fans are to see Taylor Momsen back on the scene at Jenny, but I’m personally happy to see Tim Gunn and (to a lesser degree) Ivanka Trump guest starring in this Monday’s episode, titled “Easy J.” I’ve already said I’m not a fan of Ivanka’s ill-structured dress in this episode, but what of Jenny’s? It’s certainly more tasteful than most of the things we see ego-centric Momsen wearing off-camera…

While it’s not my style, and the black tights with the dark lips and dark eye makeup really seem like overkill, I think this is a  step-up for both Momsen and Little J.

Of course, it doesn’t help that while Tim Gunn is smiling graciously, Jenny Humphrey (who raced to get to this opportunity) is doing her best “I’m bored and better than you” impression that has been stuck on her face for the past couple of seasons…

TIM GUNN GUEST STARS / JENNY’S (TAYLOR MOMSEN) BACK! — Although Blair (Leighton Meester) made it perfectly clear that Little J was no longer welcome in Manhattan after what happened with Chuck (Ed Westwick), Jenny (Taylor Momsen) is tempted by a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet Tim Gunn (“Project Runway”), which could be a game changer for her future. Meanwhile, Serena (Blake Likely) discovers something about her new boyfriend, Colin (guest star Sam Page), that may put an end to their relationship just as it was getting good. Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Jessica Szohr, Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle also star. Lee Shallat Chemel directed the episode written by Jake Coburn (Gossip Girl season 4 episode 6).
