Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) has to make a major romantic choice, and if this weren’t a TV show, it might seem odd that her two best choices don’t include her groom. Who’s ready for the Gossip Girl Royal Wedding?!
Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Blair have been the Gossip Girl power couple for a long time. And Dan (Penn Badgley) and Serena (Blake Lively) were the runner’s up. But somewhere along the line, Dan and Serena started boring fans. And even though Chuck is still more or less the same, Dan and Blair have tons of potential. So while many people assume that Blair will call off her wedding for Chuck Bass, is it possible she’ll leave for Dan Humphrey? What’s more, is it possible that the true, mature and lasting love story in this show is meant for them?
For those that miss the clash of love/hate that Chuck and Blair used to have, Dan and Blair will always be great opposites in many ways. Meanwhile, Chuck and Blair are practically the same person with different genders and drink choices. It tends to get boring after one big romantic gesture, one big betrayal, and a stalemate – ad nauseam.
We’re a fan of Dair, but are you? After “Father and the Bride” it’s hard not to see the appeal. Chuck spent the episode being a villain who stalked Blair (and God says they can’t be together, guys!) while Dan is a true friend who helps Blair no matter what it costs him. Plus, did you see how she reacted to the wedding vows that he wrote, pretending to be Louis? They’ve always shared a connection that neither wanted to admit.
Take our poll and see how the masses are picturing Blair these days, with a rich boy, or a lonely boy. Tell The CW what you want, and maybe they’ll deliver.
