| December 13, 2013 at 1:57 PM ESTNow that the nominee’s for the 2014 Golden Globes have been released, we have to endure a great span of time until we know who will take home the coveted trophies. Of course, since we have brains and facts, we might be able to cut down our waiting time.

Downton Abbey
Golden Globe 2014 Nominees for Television
Golden Globes 2014 Nominees for Best Drama Series
“Breaking Bad”
“Downton Abbey”
“The Good Wife”
“House of Cards”
“Masters of Sex”
Golden Globes 2014 Predictions: It won’t be Masters of Sex. Then you have the “we’re so diverse to include Netflix!” pick of House of Cards, one major network show, a British invasion, and a cable powerhouse. Breaking Bad just had its series finale. Bet on it. (If it isn’t, Downton Abbey is our prediction. Everyone loves Downton.)

Liev Schreiber, “Ray Donovan”
Michael Sheen, “Masters of Sex”
Kevin Spacey, “House of Cards”
James Spader, “The Black List”
Golden Globes 2014 Predictions:It won’t be Spader or Sheen. It is unlikely to be Schrieber. That leaves us with Spacey and Cranston. This is a toss-up.

Golden Globes 2014 Nominees for Best Comedy Series
“The Big Bang Theory”
“Brooklyn 99”
“Girls”
“Modern Family”
“Parks and Recreation”
Golden Globes 2014 Predictions: This is especially tight. Parks and Recreation never gets the recognition it deserves, and it probably won’t this year. Brooklyn 99 might win since it’s getting a serious nomination. But one of those fan favorites (The Big Bang Theory, Girls, Modern Family) will probably get that win. Feels like another Girls year.

Jason Bateman, “Arrested Development”
Don Cheadle, “House of Lies”
Michael J. Fox, “The Michael J. Fox Show”
Jim Parsons, “The Big Bang Theory”
Andy Samberg, “Brooklyn 99”
Golden Globes 2014 Predictions: Michael J. Fox is who they’ll want to win. Jim Parsons is too easy. They won’t think Samberg deserves it yet. Don Cheadle will win, and remind people about the Showtime series.

Helena Bonham Carter, “Burton and Taylor”
Rebecca Ferguson, “The White Queen”
Jessica Lange, “American Horror Story: Coven”
Helen Mirren, “Phil Spector”

Josh Charles, “The Good Wife”
Rob Lowe, “Behind the Candelabra”
Aaron Paul, “Breaking Bad”
Corey Stoll, “House of Cards”
Jon Voight, “Ray Donovan”
Golden Globes 2014 Predictions: It has to be Aaron Paul because it’s his last chance with Breaking Bad. Twitter wants to see how the “so-in-love-it’s-almost-gross” Aaron Paul and his new wife, Lauren Parsekian, will celebrate. The rest are just lucky to be considered as understudies for the win.
