Time to fangirl about Chord Oversteet’s abs.
Glee “A Katy or a Gaga” Review, Season 5, Episode 4
We didn’t see much of Berry in this episode, but her moments at the end really reminded me why she’s the star. She’s a great friend to Kurt, adorable, and can really work a mini skirt.
Finn was mentioned in this episode, which seemed appropriate. We can’t forget him, but the Glee season doesn’t want to be weighed down and focus on his death for too many episodes. Sounds harsh, but you know what I mean.
I say this as someone who has never followed his career…HE IS AMAZING. Omg. Who didn’t love him as Star Kidd (Starchild? I totally forget.) performing “Marry the Night”? Amazesauce. The only question we have left is what to call those who ship him and Kurt?
Sorely underused, but still given the occasional genius line. Pah.
Worst boyfriend ever, huh? Seriously, they really tore down his character in this episode. Will he ever redeem himself? Well, probably, since we all forget plot situations by the next episode.
Mr. Schuester proved that he’s the worst teacher ever by suspending her for what boils down to her not dressing slutty enough. And this is a girl who struggled witha n eating disorder. The poor girl is a great role model, especially when she didn’t let her boyfriend pressure her into sex even when he made it seem like she was a nut to not take that next step. And forget all the “I’d do anything to be with Jake” nonsense. It’s not right for anyone to pressure someone else into something like that.
Katy Perry vs Lady Gaga
I don’t care which you think you are (I’m either a Katy who wants to explore her Gaga – haha, or a Gaga who sometimes wishes she could hide behind her Perry.) I’m curious about which covers you liked more? We had “Marry the Night,” “Applause,” “Wide Awake,” and “Roar.” I really liked them all.
Sue vs Schue
TIRED STORYLINE IS TIRED. Ditto on the Jake and Marley stitch. WE’VE SEEN THIS PLOT PLAY OUT BEFORE, WE AREN’T STUPID, RYAN MURPHY!
Mmm, mm, good. Ugh. Try as I might, I do have to fangirl a little here. Sam is adorable – I like him with the nurse. Did he have a special thing of chap stick in his locker? If so, props to the prop director! He’s sweet and funny and BOY CAN ROCK SOME WEIRD GAGA WINGS! And I can never get over how much he reminds me of Jared Padalecki. So. Yeaaaaa. Chord Overstreet wins.
Darren Criss also wins. Because he’s multi-talented and possibly not even human.
Everyone loves her, but I’m not a fan of what a jerk she’s become. SAD FACE.
Welp, that’s it for tonight. All in all, this episode felt like the old Glee, and was (mostly) a lot of fun.
