Five Actresses We’d Like to See on Glee
It’s monumentally easier for me to decide which actresses I’d like to see on Glee than try to make a list of songs I’d like to hear on Glee. So guess what you’re getting? That’s right, actresses it’d be killer to see performing their little hearts out on the sensational show Glee.
So far, Glee has been lucky enough to have some great guest stars, like Kristin Chenoweth. I bet they’ll have some other great people.
1. Kristen Bell: Is it any wonder why people would want this actress on Glee? Not only is she amazing in every respect, but she can actually sing. You may have heard her singing on Veronica Mars, or maybe in the Reefer Madness musical. KBell has a strong voice and she loves musicals. We bet she’d sign up if they made an offer. If we can’t make a Veronica Mars movie happen, let’s try for this!

2. Emma Caulfield: You remember her as Anya (the ex-vengeance demon) on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. We got to hear her sing in the Buffy musical episode in season 6 (Once More with Feeling) and then again in a flashback to that episode in the season 7 episode Selfless. She may not be a trained singer, but she brings …what’s that word? Oh yea. Moxy! I think she’d prance around powerfully, maybe even in a top hat.

3. Amanda Seyfried: There was a time when people didn’t recognize her name. But now you know her from movies like Mamma Mia!, Mean Girls and Jennifer’s Body. While she proved her singing credentials in Mamma Mia, we loved her on Veronica Mars first. She’s bubbly and she has a unique look. Let’s book her, pronto!

4. Hayden Panettiere: While I have a friend who calls her ‘Hayden Panerabread’ I have a weakness for liking this actress. She’s cute and fun, dammit! She does have singing experience and has been acting since she was a fetus – she’s a pro! I wouldn’t call her an ‘artist’ when it comes to singing, but give the “cheerleader” a chance – I bet it’ll put a smile on your face.

5. Mary-Louise Parker: I have no idea if she can sing, but I’m prepared to watch her in anything she chooses to do. She’s a strong lady with spunk.

Mary Louise Parker, not singing but being gorgeous in an equally gorgeous music video called Listen to the Darkside by Charlie Mars
Who are your picks?

Great list! I’d love KBell to guest star on Glee! It’s my favorite new show. The rest of the list is great too.

Hey Anita, thanks so much for commenting! Glee is awesome, and I cannot stop listening to the Halo/Sunshine mashup song

I definitely agree with Kristen Bell; I’d love to see her make an appearance!
Completely disagree with Hayden though…come on, you think “wake up call” is good? *cringe* (In all fairness, she did a decent job on the anthem, though she “got nervous” before the high note…coincidence?)
I can’t think of many. I can think of actresses that can sing, but none that I can see fitting in with the show. Maybe Brittany Snow? She did some singing in Hairspray.

The previous comment wasn’t meant to be mean-spirited, so I hope it isn’t taken that way. Sorry if it came across as such.

Great choices. Have to agree with Ashley on Hayden though.

Kristen Bell would be AMAZING…would Amanda do TV? How random is Mary-Louise Parker LOL!! She “sings” back-up for Mandy Moore in “Romance and Cigarettes”. Not so much…but I LOVE Weeds!

Oh Ashley – it’s okay. I understand your pov, you don’t sound overly mean-spirited. I don’t think Wake Up Call is good, no :X But it’s fun and silly.
Amber – aw, am I the only one who likes Hayden?
Rere – Amanda did TV before, and I like to believe she’d come back for guest roles. I must keep the hope alive! Weeds is awesome. HIGH FIVES!

What about Idina Menzel?? She’d be fab as Rachel’s mom or aunt or something!

Idina would be fabulous

I definitely agree with a lot of these choices, especially Kristen Bell! And I love Hayden, even if she isn’t the best singer, I’d love for her to be on Glee

Hey, look a bunch of whitebread blondes. Oh, wait, you threw one brunette in there for contrast. :/

Kris – Glee is about FUN, and I had fun making a list of five actresses I like. Refer to the title, please. I didn’t pick based on hair color. It might be easy to group them together and say ‘blondes’ but I see a group of actresses that have all worked hard in their field, have various degrees of singing talent, and that I have enjoyed watching on my TV screen.

Would LOVE it for Kristen to do Glee for a guest spot, maybe a storyline with an open end so she could come back more then once!!
And this list is complete without Idina Manezl, just throwing that out there. No one would be more perfect for Rachel’s long lost bio mom then Idina.

The best thing about KBell is that she’d actually do it. She’s always referenced as being truly a nice person and comes across as a huge fangirl, a la her appearances in Heroes and Fanboys. Plus, she’s got that Christina Aguilera/Cher movie to promote next year, where she’ll also be singing.
