Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Episode Series Finale! The 7 Families Picked
Expert home designer Michael Moloney has been with the Extreme Home Makeover series for every season. Here is the statement he released:
“For nine seasons, I was blessed to have been given the opportunity to change lives across the globe with the help of loving communities, generous sponsors, and a cast that has become my second family. I will cherish the nine years with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, for the accolades we’ve received [EM:HE has taken home two Emmy Awards and two People’s Choice Awards for “Outstanding Reality Programming,” and was named “Most Positive Show in the World” by the U.N.], but even more for the economic and social epidemics we worked so feverishly to tackle, and the stigmas we so tirelessly aimed to erase. I was lucky to have this show as a perpetual reminder of my own blessings, but my work won’t stop with the end of the series. It is with a somber heart I close this chapter, but with such excitement I begin the next one. I have EM:HE to thank for the platform I have to continue doing good work and great design in 2012 and on.”
“Gibbs Family” will air on January 6, 2012. “Joplin, Missouri” will air on January 13. ABC
