To achieve the perfect sandwich, Ed O’Neil (Modern Family) knows you need balance. Which is why Katey Sagal (Sons of Anarchy, Married with Children) was part of Ed’s big day (August 20, 2011) when he received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In one special picture, he has his former TV wife on one side, and his Modern Family TV wife (Sofia Vergara) on the other. And that’s how you create memories, and sandwiches, and stuff!

O’Neill enjoyed the day with family, friends and past and present on-screen pals including Christina Applegate, Katey Sagal, and “Modern Family” co-stars Sofia Vergara, Nolan Gould, Rico Rodriguez, Ariel Winter, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet. Segal and Vergara, O’Neill’s television wives from “Married… with Children” and “Modern Family,” spoke on his behalf at the ceremony.

In addition to his award-nominated role as Jay Pritchett on “Modern Family,” O’Neill is largely known for his role as the main character, Al Bundy, on the FOX Network’s long running sitcom, “Married…With Children.” The role prompted two Golden Globe Award nominations.  – via press release
