Here’s some information that I’d already filed under, “of course it is!”
That’s right folks, I’m talking about Downton Abbey. It’s been reknewed for a fifth season, and will air on Masterpiece on PBS.
As American audiences ready themselves for the January 5th premiere of Season 4, our
devoted Downton fans will rest easy knowing that a fifth season is on the way, says
MASTERPIECE Executive Producer Rebecca Eaton.
Downton Abbey Season 4 recently completed its run in the UK, where it drew 11.8 million
average viewers making it Britains highest-rated television drama in 2013. Earlier this year,
more than 24 million viewers watched the third season of the series in the U.S., making it the
most-watched drama in PBS history.

Well, clapping is to be expected.
And maybe even some freaking out…
It’s time to just feel goooood and happy about life.
Of course, some of us can be pleased without making a scene. Ahem.
And then there’s some of us who can’t help but gloat.
Downton Abbey Season 4 will air on MASTERPIECE Sundays, January 5 through February 23 on PBS.
