Fans of Cupcake Wars fondly remember Dollop Gourmet taking home the win. Because we can’t all go to Rochester NY, owner Heather Saffer has found a way to bring a taste of the sweet life to us all.
Dollop’s Frosting Spread is the first Gourmet frosting in a squeezable pouch of its kind to hit store shelves. Our creamy, velvety buttercream frosting spread is the perfect accompaniment to any food, be it apples, pretzels, graham crackers, cupcakes, or even bacon!
By taking our Food Network award winning Ultimate Dude Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie Dough cupcake and transforming it into a frosting spread, we’ve proven that life is all about the topping and that it’s finally time to Break Away From the Cake™.
We were able to taste this delightful spread, sent to us to give a review. We thought the shipping method needed work, as the two, small packets arrived in an envelope and somehow had been punctured and there was a mess of dried frosting. Bubble wrap would solve this problem.
There are two sizes you can pick from. We had two 0.5 oz. pouches. One of these pouches will frost one cupcake, but just barely. The size seemed a bit small. (However, the price is actually appropriate at $10.00 for six of these smaller pouches.)
As for the taste, well of course it was delicious. And we like that it’s preservative free and homemade. The flavor is supposed to combine peanut butter and chocolate cookie dough… but we only tasted peanut butter and chocolate. It’s a fun way for a sweet treat, and something your kid will appreciate finding in their lunchbox.
