They want to dirty up their relationship for one reason. Eyal and Annie have incredible chemistry. I don't think they were counting on that to happen. It is interfering with the "end game" of Annie & Auggie going off in to the sunset together. Auggie and Annie have a bff or brother/sister vibe but not the hotness like between Eyal and Annie. So they need to get rid of Eyal.

I was totally bummed about the "throwing Eyal under the bus" part of it. For him to betray her like that - even if you and I know he really didn't want to - just felt untrue to the character. She saved his life five times, for crying out loud. That could turn her REALLY hard and jaded, to be stabbed in the back like that. Yes, I get that he kept rescuing her and will likely continue to do so - but still, why couldn't they leave that friendship - which was good and pure in a world of crap - alone?

I totally like the direction they've taken Annie this season too, which is the main reason I got pulled into the show a couple months ago, but there is something about her that has seemed surprisingly ... off ... in the past two episodes ... or something. I can't totally place it, but I was shocked at how nonchalant she was after her huge fight with Joan at the end of 313, and after she found out Eyal betrayed her in tonight's ep (which, I mean let's face it, he DID betray her regardless of whether he was doing it for Mossad or on his own right?) ... Annie seemed just like ... mildly bummed out about it. Haha I mean ... I just feel like she should be freaking out more, given that all this stuff is blowing up around her (no pun intended), including the fact that she was totally duped by Megan too! And she reacted to the Eyal/Megan sitch like, "Oh well that sucks but I guess I'll finish up my work and go to Bluebonnet. Oh sweet I don't have to go to Bluebonnet!! Whew, dodged a bullet there" (again no pun intended haha).

I feel like it's one of two possible things happening here: Either a) the writers have tried to shove so much plot into this final story arc of the last 4 eps of the season that we're not getting enough character focus, or b) Annie's acting this way because she's still in some sort of slightly off mental state after all the crazy shiz she's been through this season. I have no idea if either of these is correct (or both), but I'm just feeling like I need a bit more focus on what is going on here. There are only 2 eps left in the season, and I'm starting to wonder if those two eps will be just like this one, and I'll be left just as confused as to what's up with Annie by the end of the finale as I am right now. Hmm.
