Conan O’Brien and George Lopez Form a Fraternity and Haze Leno
| April 12, 2010 at 6:29 PM EDTSo, last week George Lopez called up Conan O’Brien and said he should come on over to TBS and their new late-night line-up. “I can’t think of anything better than doing my show with Conan as my lead-in,” Lopez said. “It’s the beginning of a new era in late-night comedy.” As for O’Brien – he said, “In three months I’ve gone from network television to Twitter to performing live in theaters, and now I’m headed to basic cable. My plan is working perfectly.”
You can look forward to O’Brien hosting an hour long (still untitled) show Mondays – Thursdays at 11 p.m. ET/PT. Look out, Broadcast TV! In the meantime, O’Brien is touring the United States and Canada with his live show: Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour. I guess he’s gotten sick of interviewing squirrels on Twitter. Sigh. Okay. (YAY!)
