Supermodel Coco Rocha was the model for the Marie Claire billboard with Gretchen‘s winning design from Project Runway season 8 episode 2. I really liked the design, but hated the photograph done with Gretchen’s model. This is where you get to really compare an inexperienced model with a Supermodel (capital S!).

I was also happy to see, in the episode, that it looked like Gretchen was familiar with Rocha – which means she’s in-touch with the fashion world and not just someone who wants to sew pretty things. Knowledge is power, especially when it comes to this world of style. (So think again next time you want to call a fashionista brainless, as she likely knows minuite details about the life of the jewelry designer who created her cushion-cut, bezel set Amethyst and 18k rose gold cocktail ring.)
