Oh, to be a fly (or less offensive insect) on the wall when Charisma Carpenter and James Marsters talked about their old days on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel.

During a recent conference call Small Screen Scoop participated in, Charisma Carpenter talked a bit about her recent turn at playing a witch on Supernatural with James Marsters. While they were both on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, they actually didn’t share a lot of screen time.

She was quick to mention that they didn’t spend much time together on Buffy, but that they’ve been orbiting the same areas of the “Whedonverse” and conventions. While they were on set they caught up about each others lives and past experiences. “I really feel like we got to connect and talk about the old days – to share and reconnect in a trusted way. It was really special.”

Then, without being  prompted, Carpenter mentioned that she’d read from fans on Twitter that people didn’t think she and Marsters had very good chemistry on screen. Though she didn’t personally agree, she said she does care and does read fan reactions. Still, “I thought we did good.”
