Thoughts on Caroline and Klaus? (The Vampire Diaries)
| January 13, 2012 at 1:01 PM ESTOne of the most shocking turns on The Vampire Diaries may have been when Klaus turned tender towards Caroline Forbes in The Vampire Diaries season 3 episode “Our Town.” Then again, in hindsight, does it all make sense?
At the end of the episode, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) doesn’t just save Caroline’s (Candice Accola) life. He gives her a reason to want to keep living. Or, being undead. You know what we mean. He also gives her a diamond bracelet. That ain’t too shabby.
Maddie Coe of Candice Accola Web contributes a Caroline Forbes Focus for every episode that Caroline is in. She wrote in her “Our Town” recap that, “The genuine to separate agenda ratio during that speech of his seemed to be about 50:50. I love Klaus, but I do not trust him…” Coe also asks readers to consider that Klaus sees Caroline as a replacement for Rebekah (Claire Holt.) With the two blondes being so similar, was it only a matter of time before Klaus set his sights on Caroline?
Joseph Morgan told Zap2It that he’s interested in having “companionship” and is also wanting to be a mentor so he can, “let her know the great things about being a vampire. There’s all this art and music and culture that you can expose yourself to, and be a part of. It’s not all just killing.” He added later that, “Klaus is craving that sort of companionship, and she’s absolutely the front runner for him.”
