For all of you who want to see Sutton Foster teach ballet on Bunheads, never fear – this will happen. Eventually. Just not this episode, which was the perfect opportunity seeing as Fanny took the week off and nicely forced Michelle to teach all the classes.
We start the episode off in front of a locked ballet studio. After intruding on the book club’s Fifty Shades of Grey discussion, Michelle learns that she’ll be teaching all week, despite the fact that her friend comes up from Vegas with her last paycheck – cute!
Michelle might have taken over a week of ballet classes, but we see none of those. I mean, come on. The producers must be saving her first class for an epic moment…which did not happen this week. Maybe next week!
But if you think a Fifty Shades of Grey discussion is the wildest thing you’re about to see on Bunheads, you are so wrong. Michelle blows her entire last paycheck at Sparkles buying dresses.
In the meantime, the girls have a sleepover at Sasha’s house. Her parents have obviously been fighting, so she ushers them in without letting them talk to her parents….Okay? Either way, they decide to sneak out and go to the movie truck. Only in Paradise, by the way, do they have a movie truck instead of an actual movie theatre.
So the girls sneak out despite the fact that Sasha’s parents end up staying in and meet Melanie’s brother Charlie in front of the truck. He hands them the tickets much to Boo’s delight (who has a crush on him). The girls don’t exactly sit together but Boo does end up besides Charlie. They might have spent the whole night chatting, but, as if to prove what a jerk he is, Charlie writes some other girl’s number on Boo’s hand because his cell died. I mean, come on! That’s just cruel and unfair, buddy.
At the end, though, they wind up finding Michelle and Truly at the back of the truck (because how many things can you do in Paradise after dark, really?) and sneaking home. The girls drive home and wreck Sasha’s parents car as they try to sneak in – here’s a hint, don’t jump on a convertible’s roof – and even tells her parents.
Meanwhile, Truly takes Michelle to a 24 hour cupcake ATM to hold her to the all night promise. The rest of the morning is spent in the gazebo while Truly sleeps and Michelle and Talia talk about next year. But one thing’s for sure – these people know how to make something out of nothing in the very small town of Paradise.
