Bloodlines on ‘The Vampire Diaries’ (Pics!)

We’ve gone so, so long without new episodes of The Vampire Diaries, but we know that the cast and crew have been working furiously hard to prepare new eps for us. The next new episode we’ll see is called “Bloodlines” and it will air on Thursday January 21st, 2010 at 8pm ET/PT on The CW. The promo pictures tell us only a bit:

Jeremy is sulky, on the floor of a library of all places. The poor guy. He’s had a tough run.
That IS the fantastical Gina Torres you spy. She will be playing Bree.
Damon and Elena are being friendly-ish, maybe?
Don’t you just love the animated looks that Ian Somerhalder gives us as Damon? He so enjoys his undead life, and yet we know he has all of this secret angst and pain. He’s a tortured soul who covers it up! Which I find a bit more appealing than Stefan who adheres to a strict schedule of brooding at all times. It’s not that I don’t like Stefan at all, I just prefer Damon and I’m not shy about admitting it. I may have to post some of my favorite Damon/Elena videos soon. What do you think?
