Even though she has no stylist, Blake Lively looked fabulous for the Green Lantern premiere. Below, I dissect what makes her look so great and how you can achieve the same for yourself.
The hair: Part it on the left side, then pull it over and braid a section, tying the bottom of your hair together for a loose, low side ponytail. Use a flat iron on the bottom section of hair, as well as to shape pieces to frame your face. A golden flower bobby pin accessory can be used for something special.
The dress: It should be white with details, cap sleeves, and a body-conscious silhouette. Unless you’re going to prom or a red carpet, it doesn’t need to go down to the floor. The dress I’ve picked has a boat neckline, just like Blake’s dress. The textured details on the dress give it subtle interest, without making it too busy.
The jewelry: Blake currently has a habit of piling up bracelets. For this look she used goldtone link bracelets. Instead of buying several different ones, I found a single David Aubrey bracelet (on sale, no less) that has three links that already match.
The footwear: She wears platform pumps, but since you’re doing something less fancy we need to make some adjustments. Look for something white with a peep toe. I picked a wedge that has some gold tone accents. Also look for natural looking accents like cork or wood.
The makeup: Blake’s look focuses on three things – flawless skin, a perfect pink pout and luscious lashes. Her skin looks kind of dewy, so I would just spot treat it with a little bit of mineral concealer and leave the rest clear of product. (Exfoliate the night before.) The pink for the lips should be a cool tone. The eyeshadow is a shimmery gold, with some lined under the lower lash line.
