If you were making a list of the top twenty TV shows of the twenty years, would you include frickin’ Grey’s Anatomy? We have to re-write this list!

Kristin Dos Santos of E! has posted her top twenty show picks from the years of 1990-2000. I wager that I agree with at least half of her picks, although there are a few discrepancies.

First off, I’ve never watched Six Feet Under, so it couldn’t be on my list. I’ve seen enough of 24 to know that I don’t like it (revolutionary though it may be, in concept), never wanted to watch The Sopranos, never bothered with The Daily Show, HATE Grey’s Anatomy and Survivor, and wouldn’t include Friday Night Lights, True Blood or Dexter on this list. If I was trying to make the list general for people, it would be different. But for me personally I wouldn’t include Seinfeld, either.

Then there are other things to weigh. For instance, I think Felicity was a better show than Dawson’s Creek, but Dawson’s Creek has left a much stronger legacy on pop culture. I am not sure if this list is supposed to be favorite shows, or shows with the strongest impact. I think it must be “favorite shows” because Veronica Mars sadly hasn’t left enough impact for it to even garner a movie.

Hands Down the Best Supernatural Fan Made Video I’ve Seen

I really have to question the TV taste of Santos because she included Grey’s Anatomy. What shows would I swap in? Gilmore Girls, Weeds, Damages, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, 30 Rock, Firefly, Doctor Who, Glee, Mad Men, My So-Called Life, Wonderfalls, Pushing Daisies, Supernatural, Bones, Party of Five, Cougar Town, Nurse Jackie, House MD, Angel…
