Go inside this interview with Sam Witwer, Sam Huntington and Meaghan Rath to see what’s going to happen on Being Human season 2 (Syfy)!

We are only a few days away from the season 2 premiere of SyFy’s hit series Being Human. The three main cast members, Sam Witwer (Vampire Aiden), Sam Huntington (Werewolf Josh) and Meaghan Rath (Ghost Sally) talked to the press today about what is to come for their characters this season. And also how they love each other like crazy.

Witwer said that season 1 was about setting up the characters and explaining how, as monsters, they were looking for sanctuary in the house from all the risk in the outside world. Season 2 explores “the specific risks they have as vampire, werewolf and ghost… and why so badly they needed that sanctuary.” Things are getting dark and twisty this for all three characters, so while their scenes together are few and far between at times, it becomes clear why having each other and that house is so important for each character. Rath says the way each of these characters approach their new darker paths answers the question, “What would you do if you were in this situation [as a normal person]? It’s where the humanity of the show comes from.

As for what’s to come for each specific character:

We will get a glimpse into the Aiden of old. Before he went on the “diet” aka not eating blood from live humans. We will see why Bishop (Mark Pelligrino) and Marcus (Vincent Leclerc) were so weary of Aiden. He was a scary guy back in the day!

For Josh, things with Nora (Kristen Hager) will take a turn. As the season starts, he is still in the dark about scratching her. Only 3 weeks have gone by, but that means the full moon is fast approaching, so Nora’s fate will be revealed very soon!

And then there is Sally. She deals with the consequences of not going through that door. But more importantly, she gets costume changes! The cozy sweater will still be around – it is cozy, after all – but she will find a way to get new clothes. And apparently no clothes at all at one point. Scandalous!

The best part of the call: listening to just how much these three love each other. Honestly, no matter what way the conversation went – from comic book heroes to Battlestar Gallactica to how they work together on set – there was one common thread – they really really love each other. It was sweet. It warmed my cold black heart.

Here are a few extra Being Human Spoilers & tidbits for the rest of season 2:

  • Each character will have a very shocking moment. They were all surprised at what was to come, starting around half-way through the season.
  • There is an episode where all three of them are in every scene together. Being that they love each other so much they clearly enjoyed that.
  • Not as much hospital time. At least not in the same way that it was used last season as a “home away from home” sort of place. Although, it is still a pivotal set piece, especially for Sally.

Be sure to watch the Season 2 premiere of Being Human on Monday, January 19 at 9pm on SyFy. And if you haven’t seen Season 1 yet, be sure to catch up (it’s on Netflix streaming!)
