AnnaSophia Robb Trivia – 5 things you don’t know about the new Carrie Bradshaw on The Carrie Diaries| December 27, 2012 at 1:10 PM EST
As the newly minted Carrie Bradshaw, AnnaSophia Robb is poised for stardom with The Carrie Diaries.
Many of you might be curious about Robb’s name. She was named after her maternal great-grandmother (Anna Sophie) and her paternal grandmother (Anna Marie). Her parents joined the name and took out the space between them. Unusual? Yes. But awesome? Double yes.
Early in her career, Robb played Victorian orphan Samantha Parkington in “Samantha: An American Girl Holiday” made-for-TV movie. American Girl has been around since 1986, and the beloved character of Samantha was retired in 2008. This means that Robb played an iconic retro childhood heroine. (If you know and love Samantha, then we love you.)
For her role as Bethany Hamilton, Robb told Collider.com that she trained for six weeks in Hawaii. Now that’s some dedication.
Fashionable Girl Next Door
She isn’t too into the fashion world right now. She told The Hollywood Reporter that her favorite brands as of 2012 are Free People and Rag and Bone. Plus, she loves fuzzy socks! She also likes vintage shops in NYC.
She’s a self-proclaimed Type A personality. This type of personality is described as being more high strung, organized, and responsible. They’re the kid of person you call a workaholic.
We hope to get the chance to interview AnnaSophia Robb in the future, and then we’ll have even more juicy goodies for you to learn about your favorite new face on The CW!
The Carrie Diaries premieres this winter on The CW, starring Anna Sophia Robb. The executive producers are Miguel Arteta, Candace Bushnell, Len Goldstein, Amy B. Harris, Stephanie Savage and Josh Schwartz.
