Analyzing New Vampire Diaries Pictures

The CW has released three new character photos for Elena (Nina Dobrev), Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder). The photos are great and really help re-enforce the tone of the show (mysterious! sexy! romantic!).

In promo shots it seems they like to put Elena in plums and violets, which I think works great. And in this particular photo she’s really working her gams (legs, people!).  The photo of Damon has him closer in range, and features warmer tones which I think works because he seems a little less of a secret-keeper, and warmer (not physically, of course) than his brother Stefan. Stefan is farther back in his photo, and wearing cooler tones. I think this suits him as the more reserved character.
