As a producer and writer, Amy B. Harris has dipped her toes into several great, stylish, realms. Now she’s an executive producer for The CW’s The Carrie Diaries, so it’s a great time to find out more about her.
As we mentioned, she’s been involved in some other projects that were super stylish. On the film front, she co-wrote the movie “Just My Luck” which starred Lindsay Lohan and Chris Pine. I fondly remember this movie for having really great fashion – including a dress that the characters namedropped as having been Sarah Jessica Parker’s. And that name doesn’t seem to be an accident, because Harris also was a co-producer for Sex and the City, also writing two episodes of the series. And to polish this all off, she’s also written two episodes of the uber stylish Gossip Girl – “Memoirs of an Invisible Dan” and “Cross Rhodes”.
Harris is a huge dog lover. She was executive producer of the 2008 web series “Puppy Love” and for the 2008 film “Gone to the Dogs”. In 2012, she wrote an AOL web series called “Fetching”.
Harris talked to us on Twitter and said her dog, Oscar, is exactly the same kind of dog Charlotte Yorke had on Sex and the City. Charlotte’s dog was named Elizabeth Taylor, and Amy’s dog is named Oscar. They’re both Cavalier King Charles pooches, and Harris got her as soon as Sex and the City wrapped.
Her best friend is named Jill. She wrote, “my first day of high school a girl came in late to class. The only seat was next to me. Still my BFF after all years. Happy bday Jill!!” (Source)
She eats egg whites on toast for breakfast every day. Which is pretty healthy and filling, although who knows about the taste level…
She’s friends with the style savvy Adam Glassman, who is the creative director for The Oprah Magazine.
We hope to get the chance to interview Amy B. Harris in the future, and then we’ll have even more juicy goodies for you to learn about one of your favorite new people!
