Dollhouse fans have missed Amy Acker on the show. Dollhouse was canceled on November 11, 2009 during production of the 11th episode, “Getting Closer”. That episode will air on January 8th, 2010. In that eppy, we’ll get another taste of Amy Acker as Whiskey/Dr. Claire Saunders. Written and directed by Tim Minear, this should be a great episode. Which means it’ll just make us sigh and wonder, yet again, why Dollhouse had to go get canceled.

Topher races to reconstruct Echo’s original personality and memories when Adelle realizes they are the key to adverting a devastating future. Meanwhile, Echo and Bennett Halverson’s (returning guest star Summer Glau) shared past and the identity of the Rossum’s Corpration’s mysterious leader are revealed, even as an invasion is incurred upon the Dollhouse. Paul Ballard struggles with the facts of his new existence, and Whiskey/Dr. Claire Saunders (special guest star Amy Acker) finally returns to the Dollhouse.

After “Getting Closer” we indeed are closer to the end with only two more episodes of Dollhouse left. FOREVER! (Ever, ever, ever….) It’s a dramatic end, see?
