American Idols in Ponchos (10+ PICS)

Future American Idols wore those hopelessly unflattering things we know as “ponchos” in the rain as they waited for auditions. These are the first pictures released for American Idol season 9. Can you believe its in its NINTH season? I can’t. I remember the days before not everyone even knew what it was. “Hey, I started watching this new show, you gotta check it out because you will LOVE it!”

American Idol returns with a two-night premiere on Tuesday, January 12th @ 8pm ET/PT on Fox. On Wednesday it returns for another show from 8 ET/PT – 9:15. Make sure to adjust your tivos. The first show will feature Boston auditions. The second show will feature Atlanta auditions.

After the two-night premiere, auditions will continue for three weeks starting with the Chicago auditions on Tuesday, Jan. 19 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) and continuing from Orlando on Wednesday, Jan. 20 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT). Then, Dallas auditions will air Tuesday, Jan. 26 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT); Los Angeles on Wednesday, Jan. 27 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT); Denver on Tuesday, Feb. 2 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT); and “The Road to Hollywood” auditions on Wednesday, Feb. 3 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).
