Known to fans and avid Twitter uses as #AHS, American Horror Story is violent madness brought to us from the minds (Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk) that the cheerful high school romp that is Glee.

Though I was initially warned off of this show by fellow reviewers, I came to realize the cast was too great (Zachary Quinto, Connie Britton) and the fan buzz too consistently positive for me to keep ignoring the series.

Brace yourself for an addictive thrill ride! American Horror Story is TV’s most original new drama, a deeply stylish psychosexual haunt devised to keep you on the edge of your seat. The Harmon’s (Dylan McDermott, Connie Britton) fresh start in a new home deviously twists to reveal discoveries of love, sex and murderous revenge. Featuring a Golden Globe® -winning performance by Jessica Lange, Season One scares up a host of engrossing extras.

The American Horror Story Blu-ray contains all 12 episodes from Season 1 on 3 discs.  There are six special features, including an audio commentary alongside the pilot from Ryan Murphy. As always, I wish there could have been more commentary.

My suggestion: Marathon AHS on Halloween, but don’t watch it alone in the dark. (No one’s that stupid, right?)
