drones movie

In six days, Ben Acker and Ben Blacker wrote a movie. It has now become a movie with a cast that includes Samm Levine (Veronica Mars!), Jonathan Woodward (Angel!), Tangi Miller (Felicity!), Angela Bettis, James Urbaniak, Dave (Gruber) Allen, Marc Evan Jackson and Paul F. Tompkins. The movie was directed by two Whedonverse alums Amber Benson and Adam Busch. If you’re looking for good music, Dan Bern and Common Rotation have you covered there. Basically, a bunch of super creative and talented people got together and made this amazing movie. And now you need to go see it. It’s called Drones.

The Los Angeles premiere of Drones is Tuesday, April 13th, and this is your invitation. The premiere is actually also a benefit for 826LA, which is an after-school tutoring program. Get your tickets right here. I don’t like alien stuff all that much, but I watched the YouTube clip and now I am so amped about this movie. The performances look great, and the writing is very clever.

Short synopsis: Drones is the story of an office worker shaken from his life of monotony by the revelation that his best friend is an alien and the girl he likes returns his affections.
