There had been four months of silence before smash hit singer and songwriter, Adele, mustered up everything to perform her phenomenally successful song “Rolling in the Deep” for the 2012 Grammys audience.

The silence was caused by the need for surgery after a vocal cord hemorrhage. And it was her doctors she thanked during one of her acceptance speeches. And she had plenty of acceptance speeches to give, as she won six Grammys. This means that she won everything was nominated for. This included record of the year, song of the year, and best short form music video. All in all, if you want good music you really can’t go wrong with some Adele.

Newly blonde, the successful singer wrote black both on the red carpet and for her performance. This was accessorized with a cat eye and red lips.

Make sure to watch the video of the Adele Grammys 2012 performance. As many times as you think seems right.
