About ‘Are you the One?’ on MTV | Premiere Date listing

It seems a bit like an odd mix of teen novels like “Divergent” and “The Hunger Games.”
The gist of it is this: everyone hangs out on an island. (Woo hoo, cocktails.) Professional match makers have matched up each person with one other. And it’s up to the contestants to kind of…live, and see if they can find their “true match.”
What will be especially interesting is if some people who get together and end up happy are not ones that were scientifically matched up.
The 20 hand-picked singles will all win money if they all match themselves up perfectly.
