Big Brother 15 | Aaryn Gries: I’m from Texas, we’re all racist!
| August 30, 2013 at 8:08 PM EDTDon’t let Aaryn Gries be the poster child for Texas. According to her, all Texas are racists, and there’s nothing wrong with that if it’s all in good fun.
Upon being challenged about her racists remarks during her stay in the Big Brother house, the newly evicted Aaryn Gries blamed Texas. When blaming the way an entire state is didn’t work, and her amnesiac routine fell flat, she started apologizing over and over again in desperation.
Here’s what Aaryn said about her racist words:
“Being Southern, it’s a stereotype. I have said some things that have been taken completely out of context and wrong. I don’t mean to ever come off racist. That’s not me, and I apologize to anyone that I have offended.”
“I do not remember saying those things. That was not meant to be serious, and I feel horrible for that. And I regret that … I don’t want to seem like that person. I really do respect everyone in this game.”
“In Texas, we say things. Sometimes we joke and we don’t mean it. I feel how bad it is being seen and how I’ve come across to people. I don’t want to seem like that person.”
