People are obsessed with Pretty Little Liars on ABC Family, but do you know why?

1.) Within the group of the four main girls, there’s one that you probably relate to the most. People really do love to see “themselves” reflected on the TV or Movie screen. Whether you’re a girly girl like Hanna or a Sporty one like Emily (or hey, even a mixture of a couple), the odds are good that there’s someone there that reminds you of …well, you!

2.) The Pretty Little Liars main stars are all talented and beautiful. Lucy Hale, Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson and Shay Mitchell have become role models for teenage girls. They’re all beloved, and it’s easy to see why. They’re sweet, kind, smart and fun. The hardest part is deciding which one you wish was your BFF.

3.) The heightened teen reality is presented so glamorously on the show. We might not all have the money to go glamping every week in such big style (or even once), but we’d sure love to. Parents aren’t also quite so lenient. There are a million reasons why life looks like fun in Rosewood.

4.) The fashion on the show is inspiring. Mandi Line has truly made each character a style icon. From Spencer’s preppy shirts to Aria’s funky earrings – each piece is dissected online so that fans can find replicas.

5.) The mystery is great – we love the thrill. It seems like every week we have a new dead-ringer for who A must be. Last week it was Melissa. This week, who knows?! Jenna?! (Can she see or what?)

6.) Fans of the book series were already invested in the show before it even aired. Plenty of people already read the books before the show hit ABC Family. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t some surprises for them along the way.

7.) We’ve mentioned the main girls, and now it’s time to give a shoutout to some of the guys on the show – Ezra (Ian Harding), Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) and Toby (Keegan Allen) are especially crush-worthy.
