TV and aesthetics are tremendously important in our lives. So the Art Direction Nominations for the Primetime Emmy Awards hold a special little part of our hearts. (And the idea of something literally holding a part of your heart is kind of gross – so let’s move on!)

We have the list of nominees for you below (The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Glee, Heroes, Lost, The Tudors, Modern Family…) and we will all find out the winners on August 21st, during the Academy’s Creative Art Awards at the Nokia Theatre (The 62nd Primetime Emmy’s will air on Sunday, August 29th.) A briefer, edited version of that day’s events will be shown on E!, Friday, August 27th.

While we did give it a go and pick our favorites for some of the major 2010 Emmy Nominations categories, it’s even more difficult to pick here. So we’re cheating, and not picking who should win! People in this field deserve more credit and appreciation than they ever get, so we’d like them to all get more recognition.
